Valencia, Carabobo - Egreamigos UC has scheduled a series of cultural activities for this year, all of them with the intention of raising fond to finish building Cultural Complex Auditorium Dr. Manuel Blonval Lopez. To begin with these activities, Egreamigos UC brings us the great musical Jesus Christ Superstar now that is back on the tables in Venezuela. After finishing its successful first season in 2007, which had an attendance of more than 30.000 people, this musical started its second season on February 20th.
The story tells the last week of Jesus’ life, but from the Judas's point of view. This shows a Jesus version more human, basically the human side of him, that feels love, anger, frustration, fear and hope. Besides, it's more focus on Maria Magdalena and the love that she feels for him than his mother, the Virgin Mary, who doesn't appear in the musical at all. Performances are in charge of Johnny Sigal as Jesus, Karina as Maria Magdalena y Luke Grande as Judas.
Jesus Christ Superstar will be presented on April the next days: on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd at 8:00 pm, Saturday 24th at 11:00 am and 8:00 pm and the last show will be on Sunday 25th at 11 am. All the presentations will be in the theatre "Alfredo Celis Perez" in Valencia, tickets are available now in Egreamigos UC office and the theater box office. The prices of the tickets are: sector A: BsF. 350 y sector B: BsF. 250.
