Bárbula, Carabobo. - On Thursday and Friday were carried out presentations of the various subjects that are part of the Culture Module II in the Faculty of Education at University of Carabobo. Among the different branches of this module we could find photography, film, dance, modern dance, body expression as well as choral singing, flute and Cuatro.
Sections of Creative Photography and Cinematography presented this Thursday the pictures and mock-ups at the Central Square of the Faculty of Education.
During the morning, people were able to see the different mock-ups that represented scenes from famous movies at the Central Square. Mock-ups simulating scenes from "My sister's keeper", "Invictus", Seven Pounds", The Children of Huang Shi" and so many other movies could be seen. Although Avatar was one of the most outstanding, there was a large doll of the main characters from this amazing movie, the Omaticayas, and this was the spotlight of this presentation.
On the other hand, there were very creative pictures that were sticked in the wall just in front of the mock-ups; some of them were taken from the art structures around the Faculty of Education, while others were from people in different poses or any object with an interesting angle.
Flute, Cuatro, Choral Singing, Ballroom Dancing, Modern Dance and Body Expression were presented on Friday.
On Friday afternoon, everything was prepared to begin with the presentations of the students of Flute and Cuatro, who played several songs using just the instruments mentioned before of course. One of the most popular songs they played was "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion from the movie Titanic, a classic that can never be forgotten. Right after this, a small group of students from Choral Singing started to sing well coordinated by a music professor. They closed their performance by singing a song that the public liked and certainly enjoyed when the choral sang it; it was “In the Jungle” from the disney movie The King Lion.
After music presentations, people had to move from the Central Square to a place in front of the Students Center. At about 2:30, Modern Dance began to perform a mix of Tango-Flamenco dance, the choreography was made by Sonia Fajardo and this was one of the most outstanding performances of dancing. After this great dancing, Body Expression presented a play whose name was “The Toy Store”, this was a voiceless and funny play which, in general, was about people buying toys, which were actually students with costumes on them. Among the different presentations that followed “The Toy Store” were a mix of Tango-Mambo dancing, a dance of Cha Cha Cha, whose choreographies were made by Angeline Maldonado, the same choreographer of the classic “Grease”, performed by the students from the section 15 of Ballroom Dancing, this was a great performance as well; to finish with the presentations, a couple of Modern Dance presentations were performed.
Thus, Module Culture II presentations were completed in an organized and successful way. It should be noted the good work of the professors because of the fantastic coordination, shown in each one of the performances.
